A magical evening hosted by Mrs Emily Hamblin, the British Consul General, celebrating the power of partnership and the launch of the Newborn Life Support (NLS) Scholarship Programme. We were proud to welcome Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai, Director Tu Du Hospital, Professor, Tang Chi Thuong, Director, HCMC Department of Health, Dr. Nguyen Thi Anh Phuong, Dean of International Education Faculty, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, our celebrity guests Ms Ho Ngoc Ha, Mr Kim Ly and our amazing sponsors, athletes, old and new friends.
Mrs Emily Hamblin, congratulated the UK NLS Instructors, the hospital directors for their dedication and commitment to this important programme for Vietnam. She thanked the Tu Du Hospital Director for the opportunity to witness the training and see the importance of correct actions at birth. This evening we launch the NLS scholarship scheme to ensure that candidates from the poorest provinces can participate in this life saving training.
Highlights to date more than 500 health professionals in 37 provinces, NLS course centres approved by the European Resuscitation Council in 4 cities. The journey to save more babies lives continues as Newborns Vietnam and SSVN roll out the NLS training to central and south Vietnam.
