Together, we can save newborn lives – will you join us?

Support Us

We were honoured to welcome the President and District Secretary of the Rotary Club of Macau to the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynaecology to introduce the goals of our neonatal post-qualification and Newborn Life Support (NLS) resuscitation training programmes. Dr Coutts, a consultant neonatologist from Queen Elizabeth Hospital Glasgow, provided an overview of the course. Dr. Trac, head of the neonatal intensive care unit, shared how the course has helped build a capable, cohesive, and highly learning-driven team of neonatal doctors.

The highlight of the visit was a demonstration of newborn resuscitation, showcasing the critical importance of correct actions for babies who do not breathe at birth. Our visitors asked many questions and outlined the Rotary philosophy that solving problems requires real commitment and vision, noting that saving mothers and babies is one of their worldwide objectives.
