Every year, 4,000 hours of dedicated teaching by UK doctors, nurses, midwives, and newborn resuscitation instructors save lives across Vietnam. Alongside them, our incredible community of athletes runs, swims, and cycles over 6,500 km annually, raising essential funds for lifesaving training and equipment.
Each hour taught, every km run, shows how volunteering and sport can change the world for newborns. We’re incredibly proud of all our athletes – and this weekend, we cheer for our 10 runners taking on the Vietnam Jungle Marathon. A huge shout-out to Dr. Fraser, who not only cares for babies in Edinburgh’s neonatal unit but also organises Newborn Life Support (NLS) Courses in Hanoi, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Supporting Newborns Vietnam is a true family effort. Tom, husband of one of our nurse educators, took on the gruelling Hardmoors Ultramarathon – 110 miles and a staggering 6,000 meters of elevation gain! 100% of funds raised will fund scholarships and resuscitation equipment, directly impacting newborn survival. Join hands with Newborns, every hour, every step makes a difference.
