25 fantastic riders, 3 days, 450km, 1 goal – 0 preventable deaths of newborns in Vietnam.
Our riders came from Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK to take part in an epic cycle ride from Sapa to Hanoi in 3 days. Their desire to help the next newborn survive kept them going as they undertook this mammoth journey and they tackled the wind, rain and heat to ensure they arrived safely in Hanoi. As they crossed the finish line, they were welcomed by the wonderful team of neonatal doctors and nurses from Vietnam National Children’s Hospital, who invited them to look round the ward, an emotional reminder of what all their hard work was for. A huge thank you to Sidley Austin and associates, Gareth Ward the British Ambassador, our ride leaders and the support team for making the 2019 Cycle A Difference a huge success.
