Testing the first transport trolley for safe transfer of sick babies – a great day Gia Lam and St Paul Hospital. Dr Richard Tubman led a training session for each hospitals’ transport team, introducing the essential equipment on the trolley to keep the baby warm, provide oxygen, vital signs monitor, infusion pumps and an emergency bag. The hospital teams practiced stabilizing and preparing the baby for a transfer, using the equipment, documenting the baby’s condition, calling to the receiving hospital and carrying out the transfer. Well done to all the doctors and nurses a very impressive handover by Gia Lam of the baby to the St Paul neonatal team. Safe transport is a critical element in saving more babies’ lives.
Huge thanks to our wonderful engineers at MTTS and thanks to B. Braun.
