Last week Vietnam’s first ever Newborn Life Support Course was conducted with the aim of improving and creating a national standard of resuscitation for newborn babies in Vietnam. The Newborn Life Support Course (NLS) has been developed with the support of the Resuscitation Council UK and is internationally recognised in Europe and across the world with the help of the European Resuscitation Council.
It was wonderful to watch the first 56 doctors and nurses to ever attend an NLS course in Vietnam and we are extremely excited to see them go on to implement everything they have learnt, as well as become instructors themselves and start the process of setting up a National Resuscitation Council in Vietnam. Together we can set the standards in resuscitation and help reach our goal of zero preventable deaths of Newborns in Vietnam.
A massive thanks to the instructors who gave their time to help improve the life chances of newborns in Vietnam, without you this would not have been possible and we hope to see you return to Vietnam soon.
