Christmas is a time of celebration, reflection, renewal and a new beginning as we prepare to welcome in the New Year.
This year our reflection began at our academic partner, Canterbury Christ Church University’s (CCCU) ‘Christmas’ with the Gospel Choir concert. The director asked the choir to sing their hearts out for this very special partnership that is working to provide better care for newborn infants in Vietnam. The choir was amazing their joy, warmth and incredibly powerful raunchy singing was very emotional and struck many chords for our trustees Newborns Vietnam was launched three years ago at St Martin-in-the-Fields, London with a choir concert.
I was delighted to give a reading written by Dr Tran Thi Hoang, Head of the Da Nang neonatal intensive care unit, it touched many people at the concert and reminded us all why improving the care of newborns and their mothers is an important global challenge… to read more, click here to download our Christmas Newsletter.
